The New Aluminum Model Push Bumper will look the same as the original steel model, with additional bracing, but they are aprroximately 40% lighter, saving on shipping costs as well as less weight on the front of your vehicle. Our New High-Strength Aluminum Push Bumpers have successfully police field-tested and found to be as rugged as our original steel model. The Aluminum Push Bumper will continue to use our original steel mounting brackets which are completely interchangeable with both our aluminum and steel model Push Bumper. The Bodyguard Push Bumpers pictured on this page are designed to fit most full-sized and mid-sized American makes and models of cars, and are transferable by simple mounting bracket changes. The Bodyguard Push bumpers are primarily used for pushing disabled cars off streets, highways and bridges, thus reducing traffic tie-ups and accidents. The Push Bumpers extend approximately six inches beyond the car's exiating bumpers, allowing a good turning radius while avoiding costly damage to grille, headlights and fenders.
